Custom & Standard Sheds for Sale, Built On-Site in Mesa
I’m Alex. I grew up in Mesa, and the shop is here at 8815 E Apache Trail. I build each shed on-site with my full-time employee, and you work with me on the quote, the layout, and the build.
A Standard shed fits everyday storage. A Custom shed is the one to use when the size, roof, doors, or colors need to change. Height-limited side yards are planned on the HOA page.
Below are sheds built in Mesa, starting with Christina’s 10×18 Custom gable on an existing slab.
Featured Mesa project
Christina’s
10×18 Custom shed.
Christina’s shed is in Mesa, built on the concrete slab already in the yard. She needed loft storage and a clear path for a riding mower, so this one was planned as a Custom shed instead of a Standard size.
The footprint is 10×18, with 8-foot walls so the loft has room above the mower. Larger roof overhangs keep that taller wall from looking stubby. Double doors face the path the mower uses. Two 24×36 windows light the inside.
The roof is radiant-barrier sheathing and Driftwood architectural shingles. Photos below show the finished shed, the loft, the framing, and the door and window details. Sizes, roof styles, and the 7-year warranty for this line are on the Custom sheds page.

Working with your yard
Need an
HOA-friendly shed?
Height limits and appearance requirements can shape the whole design. I can help plan a low-profile shed, choose colors to coordinate with your house, and position the doors for useful access.
In Mesa, that has meant narrow builds such as the 4×14 Custom lean-to with two single doors. Start by sending your HOA’s written shed guidelines and a few photos of the location. We can work through the height, footprint, and roof style before you submit the design for approval.
Discuss your HOA requirements →Before you build
Mesa shed
questions.
Do I need a permit for a shed in Mesa?
Mesa’s residential FAQ says a detached shed under 200 square feet without electrical, plumbing, or mechanical connections can be built without a construction permit. Height and location requirements still apply. Confirm your specific plans with the city, especially at exactly 200 square feet or for a property in an RV or mobile home park. Check Mesa’s shed requirements.
Can you build a shed behind my side gate?
I build sheds on-site and can carry the materials through a suitable side gate. We’ll check the access route and working space before scheduling your build.
Do I need a concrete slab?
A concrete slab is not required for every shed. I offer a treated wood foundation and floor system, or can build on a suitable existing slab. Christina’s 10×18 in Mesa was built on the slab already in the yard. I do not pour concrete slabs.
Can you match my house or work with HOA restrictions?
Custom sheds can be planned around your available space, color preferences, and HOA height and appearance requirements. Send me the written guidelines before we settle on a design. Your HOA makes the approval decision. Low-profile examples are on the HOA sheds page.
Can I add windows, a loft, or extra doors?
Yes. We can discuss windows, loft storage, and door placement during planning. Available options depend on the shed line, size, roof design, and height restrictions.
Where can I find prices and warranty details?
Current prices are listed on the Standard shed and Custom shed pages. Standard sheds include a 3-year warranty; Custom sheds include a 7-year warranty. For a Mesa quote, use the contact form.
