Custom, Standard, and HOA-friendly sheds built in Apache Junction

I’m Alex, the owner and builder at Sheds Up. If you’re looking for a shed builder in Apache Junction, AZ, I build Custom, Standard, and HOA-friendly wood sheds on-site alongside my full-time team member. You work directly with me to choose the size, layout, and details that fit your property.

If you’ve been comparing sheds for sale in Apache Junction, the difference here is that nothing gets delivered on a truck. Building on-site lets us carry materials through a suitable gate and assemble the shed where you need it, and every size has a listed price. We’ll look at the access route, available working space, and how you want to use the shed before settling on a design.

The sheds below show a few ways that can look: a 10×8 Custom shed with windows and a single door, a 10×10 low-slope design in Radiance, and a 4×12 Standard shed that makes use of a narrow side yard.

Working with your property

Need an
HOA-friendly shed in Apache Junction?

If your Apache Junction neighborhood has an HOA, start with its written shed requirements. Height, roof style, colors, and placement can all affect which design works for your yard.

A low-profile lean-to can help make use of a side yard or back corner. We can plan the overall height, doorway clearance, and roof slope together to make the space useful within your HOA’s limits.

Send me the requirements along with photos and rough measurements of the proposed location. We’ll work through the design details before you submit them to your HOA for approval.

Before you build

Apache Junction shed
questions.

Do I need a permit for a shed in Apache Junction?

The City of Apache Junction’s published FAQ says sheds of 120 square feet or less without utilities do not require a permit. Larger sheds, or sheds with utilities such as electricity or water, do require permits. All sheds must still meet the applicable setbacks. Confirm the requirements for your shed with the city before building. Read Apache Junction’s shed permit guidance.

How close can a shed be to the property line?

Apache Junction’s setbacks depend on the property’s zoning district, and detached accessory buildings can have different setbacks from the main house. Contact the city’s Planning and Zoning Division at 480-474-5083 to confirm the setback for your proposed location.

Can you build a shed in a narrow side yard?

Yes, where there is enough room to build and the location meets the applicable requirements. The 4×12 Standard shed shown above is one example. Send photos and measurements so we can look at the available footprint, door access, and working space.

Does HOA approval replace city requirements?

HOA approval and city requirements are separate. Plan to confirm both before scheduling the build. I can work with your HOA’s written shed requirements when we choose the size, overall height, roof style, and colors. Low-profile examples are on the HOA sheds page.

Can you build a shed behind my side gate?

Yes. I build sheds on-site and can carry the materials through a suitable side gate instead of requiring a fully assembled shed to be delivered. We’ll check the access route and available working space before scheduling the build.

Do I need a concrete slab?

A concrete slab is not required for every shed. I offer a treated wood foundation and floor system, or we can discuss building on a suitable existing slab. I do not pour concrete slabs.

Where can I find prices and warranty details?

Current prices are listed on the Custom shed and Standard shed pages. Custom sheds include a 7-year warranty; Standard sheds include a 3-year warranty. For an Apache Junction quote, use the contact form.
